Specific COVID-19 related funding opportunities for EU-wide and/or Dutch applicants. Update: 5/07/2020

Over 20 Dutch and EU-wide calls are open to apply for funding to cover your COVID-19 related R&D projects!

In May, many new funding opportunities and partnering events are launched (and closing!) – be aware that fast action is needed!

  • ZonMW and NWO (Dutch research funding) opened 3 calls with deadlines on May 14th and May 25th
  • New funding opportunities are now open from CEPI.
  • The new COVID-19 funding round by HORIZON is still expected to be launched by mid-May.

Update: COVID-19 R&D Funding May 1st 2020

Specific COVID-19 related funding opportunities for EU-wide and/or Dutch applicants. Update: 5/01/2020

Over 15 Dutch and EU-wide funding bodies are now  lined-up to fund research and development projects to solve all challenges related to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In May many new funding opportunities and partnering events are launched (and closing!) – be aware that fast action is needed!

  • ZonMW and NWO (Dutch research funding) announced Today the first deadlines for funding: May 14th
  • You can still sign up for the Health~Holland COVID-19 virtual partnering event on May 4th.
  • New funding opportunities are now open from PRACE, EGI and AMable.
  • The new COVID-19 funding round by HORIZONis expected to be launched mid-May.

Since this Monday’s update, new events and funding have become available!

  • The EU-wide COVID-19 Data Platform is open.
  • Sign up for the Health~Holland COVID-19 virtual partnering event on May 4th.
  • New funding opportunities are open from SNN, EIT Digital and IsDB.
  • The program text with the scope and timing of the ‘Second Wave’ of Dutch government funding for COVID-19 has become available.

Support the next generation of Life Science entrepreneurs to graduate in 2020. Update: 4/21/2020

Dear life science entrepreneurs,

Currently, the upcoming generation of life science experts is facing a unique challenge to graduate in time. Students are dependent of conducting interviews with early phase entrepreneurs that operate in the life science sector. In order to support them, we would like to appeal to everyone in the industry to contribute. Thirty minutes of your time will have a significant impact on their ability to graduate and add valuable empirical insights to our collective knowledge base. If you haven’t been approached already, we would like to ask you to sign up for (one of the) following projects.

  • Project 1: Identifying key quality indicators during the initial screening phase according to both European institutional VCs and early stage life science firms.
  • Project 2: Towards a unified market intelligence model for innovation-based SMEs and start-ups in the Netherlands.
  • Project 3: Investment strategies for European disease-focused foundations to achieve their venture philanthropy goals.

  • An interview of approximately 30 minutes, or a potential questionnaire
