FFUND congratulates Resistell AG on securing CHF 2M additional funding from the Swiss Start-up Innovation Project, financed by InnoSuisse. With this support, the company will accelerate the development of its disruptive nanomotion technology, designed to revolutionize diagnostics of infectious diseases.
About Resistell AG
Swiss medtech pioneer Resistell AG is tackling one of today’s most pressing global health threats: antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Their mission is to dramatically improve the speed and precision of antibiotic treatment decisions. With its groundbreaking technology, Resistell aims to save lives and fight the spread of resistant infections.

What is the product about?
Sepsi-Star is an innovative, next-generation phenotypic antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) platform that provides actionable results in 1-2 hours. The platform is based on nanomotion sensing technology invented by Resistell’s team at EPFL Lausanne, one of the world’s top technical universities.
Sepsi-Star detects bacterial responses to antibiotics without the need for traditional culture steps. This enables clinicians to rapidly tailor antibiotic therapy and reduce the time to effective treatment. The solution not only improves patient outcomes but also supports global efforts to curb AMR and lower healthcare costs.
