FFUND congratulates Prof. Dr. Gilles Huberfeld and Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild on receiving the SESAME support for developing their Brain Intraoperative Integrated Imaging and Neurophysiology Platform (BIIINP).
About SESAME
The main objective of the SESAME system is to make the Ile-de-France region a world reference in science and technology by giving laboratories the necessary means to develop new projects and to implement original experimental research systems.
What is the project about?
The BIIINP project brings together two prestigious institutions, the Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild and Université Paris Cité. Together, they will create a groundbreaking surgical platform. This first-of-its-kind platform will provide world-class neurosurgical care, and spearhead pioneering research partnerships between local laboratories and companies. Live brain imaging and advanced robotic-assisted functional surgery lie at the heart of the BIIINP platform.Integrated with one of the most sophisticated microelectrode systems, they offer an unparalleled resolution for assessing brain function, making the plaftform suitable for a wide array of neurosurgical procedures.
